A community built on movement, mentorship, and creative expression
Who We Are
The Movement Mentors is a creative collective that brings people together through movement, performance, and guided creative experiences. Rooted in mentorship and community, we believe movement is more than an art form — it’s a powerful way to explore growth, connection, and self-expression at every stage of life.
Here, creativity isn’t about perfection or performance alone. It’s about participation, process, and the transformation that happens when people are supported in showing up fully and authentically.
Our Story
The Movement Mentors grew out of The Creative Movement, a community-based arts program founded to create space for creative exploration through music and movement.
What began with classes and performances for young people quickly revealed something bigger: movement has the power to connect people across ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. As the community expanded, so did the vision — welcoming adults, families, and first-time performers into the creative process.
Today, The Creative Movement remains a foundational part of The Movement Mentors ecosystem, producing original productions and community performances across Delmarva while contributing to a broader mission of mentorship-led creative expression.
“We focus on the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our community through body movement to music. I’ve been a performer and instructor for over 20 years and continue to be passionate about bringing the benefits of dance to everyone.”
